Nestled within prime estate of Teluk Bahang with access to the Angsana Teluk Bahang, a luxury resort managed by Banyan Tree, the CELLAAX Specialist Centre is a much-anticipated milestone for CELLAAX in its onward expansion to go beyond a research and development company, into a full fledge treatment facility, taping into the vast potential of medical tourism with an estimated gross annual operating income of RM58 million.
The MOU was signed by Alex Wong, Founder and CEO of CELLAAX Sdn Bhd and Dato Simon Foong, Co-founder and Group Managing Director of Senja Aman and witnessed by Angelina Tiah, Founder and Chief Development Sciences of CELLAAX, Bernard Seah – Chief Investment Officer of CELLAAX and Moon Ong, Operations of CELLAAX and Paul Tan, Managing Director of Senja Aman.
The CELLAAX Specialist Centre is set to become the epicenter for cutting edge wellness, restorative, regenerative and anti-aging treatments in the region. As Penang is reported to contribute between 50-60% of total revenue from healthcare travelers in Malaysia, CELLAAX is ready to take a pivotal opportunity to introduce its modern innovation in human cell therapy to the healthcare travelers of the world.
This integrated medical and wellness destination creates a comprehensive medical tourism hub. In a recent report by the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council, MHTC anticipates a contribution of up to RM10 billion to the economy under medical tourism by 2025, when COVID restrictions have settled, and more countries ease travel restrictions as we enter an endemic.
